Eating Disorder Day Treatment / Partial Hospital Program (PHP)
|
Our Eating Disorder Day Treatment program is the most intensive treatment service we offer. The group meets Monday through Saturday for 6 - 8 hours. Treatment involves the provision of lunch, dinner, and two snacks, as well as staff supervision at mealtimes and a therapeutic structured holding environment throughout the day. Clients rely on the structure and supervision provided by a multi-disciplinary treatment staff, including caring and compassionate therapists, dietitian, and psychiatrists.
|
Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient (EDIOP) |
Our Eating Disorder Intensive Outpatient program consists of 14 hours of group treatment per week, in addition to weekly individual nutrition counseling and psychotherapy. Meeting 4 times per week, Monday through Thursday, this level of care is perfect for individuals taking their recovery seriously while maintaining "real world" responsibilities such as school or work. Additionally, the program includes supportive community meals, movement and expressive therapies.
|
| Individual Outpatient Therapy for Eating Disorders |
Outpatient eating disorder treatment consists of one on one individual therapy sessions with the client's clinician. Individual therapy gives clients the opportunity to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with a professional, which is necessary to work through entrenched cognitive distortions, internal conflicts and unresolved emotional wounds. In following with our collaborative "treatment team” approach, the primary therapist will work closely with all team members including the physician and dietician to best monitor the clients' needs and progress. We are happy to work with an individual's existing health care team or provide referrals for all specialties.

| Nutrition Therapy Eating Disorder Treatment |
At Shoreline we understand the importance of nutrition therapy throughout the recovery process, and are happy to provide comprehensive and supportive nutrition counseling on site. A Registered Dietitian, possessing extensive experience with eating disorder treatment and recovery, provides all nutrition services. Services begin with a complete client assessment, followed by an evaluation of their individual nutritional needs and (if indicated) assigned a starting point meal plan. This is provided as a tool to assist clients in developing healthy eating habits and relationships with food. Individual sessions provide a client with opportunities to discuss food related issues, set weekly nutrition goals and receive personalized nutrition recommendations. Clients will eventually be taught to reconnect with their innate intuitive eating abilities. Please feel free to contact our Registered Dietitian with any questions regarding the nutritional components of our programs. |
| Intuitive Eating Support Group for Eating Disorders |
Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment is pleased to offer an ongoing Intuitive Eating workshop for those who want to change their relationship with food. We believe disordered eating is the mind's disconnect from its natural ability to feel hunger and fullness and is a learned distrust in our ability to honor what our bodies need and want. This group meets weekly and members participate in monthly community meals. |
| "Eating in the Light of the Moon" Group for Eating Disorders |
The Eating in the Light of the Moon group is based on the novel written by Anita Johnston, PhD, whose approach to disordered eating is through the sharing of folktales, myths, and ancient legends which allows women to relate to the metaphors and discover their own unique life stories. Eating in the Light of the Moon teaches those struggling with disordered eating to tap into the feelinds surrounding their hunger, eating patterns, and core beliefs and allows them to embrace their beauty and womanhood. This group meets twice a month for book study and process. |
