Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment expands services into Orange County, California and provides a monthly CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) Case Consultation Group for professionals.
Shoreline Center for Eating Disorder Treatment is excited to announce the opening of our south Orange County (Laguna Hills) facility. Shoreline Orange County offers both Partial Hospital/Day Treatment and Intensive Outpatient programming, for men and women, ages 13 and up, who are struggling with eating disorders, exercise addiction and co-morbid mental health issues. Services are provided in a warm and nurturing setting, by a highly trained, compassionate and empathetic multidisciplinary team. We implement evidenced-based treatment practices in our individual and group therapy, meal support, medical nutrition therapy, medical management DBT, ACT, CBT, Intuitive Eating concepts, expressive and equine therapies.
Rachel Levi, LMFT and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist and Supervisor, founded Shoreline out of a strong desire to provide a setting where individuals and families could receive the highest quality of treatment, in a warm and non-hospital type setting within their own community.
Shoreline has been privately owned and operated for over 15 years, earning both CARF accreditation and a solid reputation for its recovery outcomes. Levi believes, “Engaging in treatment in one’s own community should be a priority. This helps clients practice skills in environments and situations, within their daily lives, where they are relevant and practical. Learning to utilize family and friends for support as much as possible is as important as their treatment team and peers. Access to care in one’s community is a vital element in recovery.” Shoreline is considered “in-network” with most insurance companies, which we believe only increases opportunity for those seeking treatment to receive it.
In keeping with our desire to become a more integrated part of the Orange County professional community, Shoreline is offering a CEDS (Certified Eating Disorder Specialist) case consultation group, open to all professionals in the community, desiring to enhance their clinical skills.
The monthly group is complementary, and meets the 2nd Friday of each month, from 9:30-11:00. The group is open to both those seeking supervised hours towards certification as an Eating Disorder Specialist, as well as for professionals desiring to enhance their clinical skills in eating disorder treatment. 1.5 CEU hours will be available licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), licensed Professional Counselors (LPC) and licensed Social Workers (LCSW).
